Overview

You are a deserving couple with a true love story and we want you to have the wedding of your dreams. Imagine having the perfect wedding at a picturesque venue on the South Shore. Plymouth’s premier wedding vendors are giving away a free wedding to a lucky couple that has one member active in the armed services. The contest starts November 11, 2011 and ends February 14^th 2012. The wedding will take place September 11, 2012. This full scale wedding will be provided to the lucky essay contest winner.

The Couple

How do we select the couple? It’s simple…we want a great story, a love story. So be prepared to wow us. Send in a submission for yourself of a special couple you may know that truly deserves the wedding of their dreams. Please include a picture along with the story. Images often display the couple in a way words cannot describe.

The Date 9-11-12

The wedding will be held on September 11, 2012. Your story must be received by February 14, 2012. Our panel of independent judges will announce their decision at the end of February.

How to Enter

We are looking for a story about how love conquers all; a true romance for all of us to enjoy. You may send in your own story or a story about someone you know via email.

The Rules

*The couple must reside on the South Shore

*The wedding package is offered for up to a maximum of 65 guests (additional guests are the responsibility of the couple).

*The couple must be willing to get married on September 11, 2012

* The Couple must allow commercial and/or promotional use of wedding images, wedding preparation images and story submission reprint.

*Project participants reserve the right to use images for any purpose, commercially or editorially

*There is the likelihood of media coverage and promotion of the event, therefore the couple must be willing to participate and be comfortable with this dynamic

*Couple must be open to telling their story (for editorial use) before and after the event

*Liability waiver to be signed by both parties

*A personal interview will be required when the selection process has been narrowed down to the final three couples.

*The caterer will attempt to work with the couple on creating a personalized menu, but ultimately holds rights to select the final food and beverage options

*Direct relatives of project participants or vendors are not eligible

*Bride/Groom and wedding party must purchase their own gowns and tuxedos.

The Requirements

*Your love story. At least 500 words, essay not to exceed 2,500 words.

*Contact Information: Name, Age, Religion (for planning purposes), Address, Phone number, Email, Engagement date (if possible)

*One to five photos may be included in submission

*Proof of residency (photo copy of license or tax bill etc…)

*Proof of active enlistment

Where do you begin? Right here with Plymouth Elegant Weddings. Here with other brides you will explore the world of wedding planning and be prepared for your big day.

At the end of your planning session you will have a pre-wedding timeline, a wedding day timeline, budget worksheet and a list of local vendors to suit your needs. These handy tools will help keep you on track during this exciting time and give you the confidence to know everything that is important to you will be in place before your big day arrives.
